Now appearing annually at the Legacy Theatre, what began 40 years ago as “Harvey Hubcap and the Do Ron Ron” has evolved into The Fabulous Hubcaps, one of the nation’s most sought after oldies show bands. “Rock Around the Clock,” “Angel Baby,” and “Little Darlin’” are songs they bring alive that take their audiences back in time. With an extensive repertoire of do-wop group harmony, classic rock and roll, Rock-A-Billy, Motown, and R & B music, The Fabulous Hubcaps are heralded as one of the best oldies show bands in the country!

  • “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street” by Opera Theater of Pittsburgh SummerFest

    NEW TO THE LEGACY THEATRE IN 2017, Opera Theater of Pittsburgh performs its new SummerFest musical, the thrilling “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street”, Broadway’s Tony-award winner for “Best Musical” with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by Hugh Wheeler. Barber Sweeney Todd returns to Dickens-era London after 15 years of exile and aims to take revenge on the corrupt judge who banished him. Dean, of course, played the straight man with a charming voice and Jerry, the lovable goof ball, added the comedy. Never have two artists captured the look, the sound, the very essence and chemistry of these two “icons” more than Tom Stevens and Tony Lewis. Even Dean’s daughter, Deana said, “I’ve never seen anyone look and sound more like my Daddy!” Enjoy either a matinee or evening performance!

    NEW TO THE LEGACY IN 2017, The Marcels are as advertised, the guys who put the “Bomp” in the “Bomp-A-Bomp” back in 1961 when their first recording, “Blue Moon” sold over two and a half million copies. The Marcels can boast of three record albums, numerous hit singles, with sales in the millions. They also recorded the theme song, “The Greatest Love” for the motion picture, “The Interns” and appeared with Chubby Checker in the film “Twist Around The Clock.” Their signature song, “Blue Moon” put them on.

Through the dark misty light a figure emerges, and Hank Williams’ voice fills the auditorium, as David Church brings to life once more the father of country music.   • Pittsburgh Doo Wop Big Band Christmas Show

    Enjoy the sounds of Christmas along with the sounds of Motown, the rhythms of the Crystals and the Chiffons, the smooth sounds of the Miracles and Etta James, and more! Relive the sounds of the ‘50s, ‘60s, and ‘70s with the Pittsburgh Doo Wop Big Band. Under the direction of Richard G. Mansfield, musical director, arranger/ conductor of the “American Soundtrack Series,” the group has recreated the same great musical arrangements as seen and heard on PBS.
